Summer Camp Counselor
​
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Summer Camp Counselor who is committed to inspiring and educating young people about the values that lead to excellence. Our summer camp offers a unique and engaging program that combines art, STEM projects, play, team work, challenges, and mindfulness to provide a fun and enriching experience for our campers.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate daily activities and lessons for a group of campers

Create a positive and inclusive camp environment
-
Provide guidance and mentorship to campers​

Implement activity plans that incorporate STEM projects, art, team work and challenges
-
Encourage campers to explore and discover new skills and interests
-
Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers
-
Communicate regularly with parents and camp leadership

Represent Camp Excellent's core values

Qualifications:
​
-
Be available for training, May 24-26
-
Experience working with children in a camp, sports, or educational setting
-
Pass background check
-
Be available to work M-F June 5 to July 28 (We are closed July 3rd and 4th).

Healthy, fun, energetic and optimistic attitude. Camp Excellent operates from a set of core values. We live these values, so our candidates must be in line with the values of the program.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for inspiring and educating young people

Ability to work collaboratively with other counselors and staff
-
CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training available)

Knowledge of STEM subjects and/or experience in art or team building activities preferred
